Camino de Frances, Camino de Santiago, Personal stories

Rebecca’s Beginning

Finally, the day of departure from home arrived. We (Rebecca, Jacob and I) got up around 4 a.m. and drove to the airport. After some waiting, the rest of her group arrived (except Tom, as you read in earlier posts, who was already in Europe). After lots of greetings, they checked in as Jacob and I waited.

Finally, everything was squared away, we had hugs all around and said goodbye.

Jill, the chief organizer of the pilgrimage, is the mother of Kelsey (18) and Garin (15). Her friends are Rosa and Gail. Rebecca (19) is my, the blog writer’s (Cathy’s) daughter, and Tom is my husband.
